We are continuing the construction of the senior center that was started on October 1st. Started from the foundation work, retaining walls, floor, wall, and now building the roof. Missionary Gil-hyuk Lee, pushing through the construction, is still sweating in the weather that is getting colder.
The construction was initially started with Missionary Tae-soo Park, Gil-hyuk Lee, interns, and five natives. But now, as the construction progresses, we have twelve local natives working together. There are problems indeed, like communication, insufficient/low-quality materials, and lack of tools and equipments. But with God, providing new ideas and wisdom, the building is slowly getting its beautiful shape. After the anxiety in design time, immense labor in putting the foundation and with all the small attentions paid while raising the wall, we are finally seeing a building shaping its own form.

Even though the building is only but concrete and bricks at the moment, it reminds us the church that the Lord built. There are many things happening at Ichthus. Some of them are visible, some are done behind eyes, some are small and some are big. But, with all of these things, we see our lord building a beautiful community. Ichthus is creating its foundation now. We pray for more people to come to us, so we can work on pillar, walls and roof together.
