The Silver Mission Team has just finished their work in Chiapas in Mexico for 4 days from November 12th to 15th. They visited 5 different villages and spread God’s Words in many ways. Although they are all seniors, they could get over being tired by the strong passion for Mexico. Let’s take a look what they have done.
<Sliver Mission Team who sings praise & worship in Chiwawa>
The Silver Mission Team had arrived here at the Ichthus Mission Center on November 12th. Because of delay, it took more hours than they planed, so they were so exhausted.
Even though they had problem with entry into Mexico, with God’s help, they could enter into the country with their luggages without any loss. Because of this entry problem and delay, they had to start first day mission in later than they planed.
They split themselves into two groups. In first 2 days, they worked in Chiwawa and Flor de Mayo. Because Chiwawa is small village, they could not see many people, but they could work for so many people in Flor de Mayo. The Silver Mission Team did medical treatment, photo, haircut, and BBS in Chiwawa and Flor de Mayo. We were so impressed that they did not care about number of people but their mission. Some seniors from the villages who had acupuncture treatment brought more people to the Silver Mission Team (SMT). The photo team took pictures for the village people, but they could not take pictures for all of them because hundreds of people kept coming to own their photos. Lots of people also kept coming to the haircut mission team to get new haircut. Even though the SMT was having problem with communication and disturbance, they continued to spread God’s Words to the village people, and did not loose their smiles and friendly behaviors until they finished their work. Mrs. Kolby was great help for the SMT by translating and spreading Gospel in Spanish.
<Mission in Caranza>
In day three, they did work in San Cararanpio and Caranza. In day four, the first team went to the different village, Lomantan, and the second team remained in Caranza.
They could not take care of all of village people, because so many people kept coming to the SMT for medical treatment, photo, haircut, and BBS.
They finished their work till Saturday, then, they took a rest on Sunday and went back to the US on November 17th.
It was very impressive that they did get over their ages by their passion for Jesus and set this mission on high priority among their busy schedules. We are sure that God is proud of them and pleased what they have done.
