September 2022 Wrap-Up

September has been another month with diverse activities. Following, the highlight of the month.

Independence Day Festival

Independence Day Festival

Our biggest event was, not other than, The Mexican Independence Day were many of our senses were delighted in different manners.

Middle School Students living at dorms

We had fun seeing the many colorful customs students from elementary, middle, high school and teachers showed off during the event. Our ears were delighted by the sounds of marimba music, guitar and folklore songs our students prepared. There is no doubt we have talented people in our school. Another sense of ours that was satisfied by the traditional food elementary school parents prepared for us was our taste. We could see long but patient lines waiting to eat a delicious tamal or a fresh raspado (shaved-ice).

Later that day, Highschool students went home for the holiday and middle school students stayed in the dormitory, where the teachers and Staff in charge prepared games and activities for them throughout the weekend to have some fellowship together and bond.

Coffee Expo Fair

Cofee Expo Fair

Our e-cafe team works nonstop to provide high quality coffee beans for our delight; therefore, would it not be fair to share it with others? This month, our e-cafe team traveled all the way to Mexico City to be part of the Coffee expo-fair where they could meet other coffee producers and potential clients.

They shared about their planting and harvesting process as well as the second part of the production to guarantee our excellence in quality. We are thankful with those who have purchased, recommended our coffee and opened doors for e-cafe to keep growing. We believe even better things are coming for us.

Elementary School “Open House”

Elementary School “Open House”

Our little ones were busy as well. We organized an Open House for our 3 last years of Elementary School to present their projects in different topics. We invited the parents and together we learned from our students topics such as: solar system, water cycle, nutrition and food process. The younger Ichthus members displayed their models and presented before their crowd the knowledge they acquired from their work. They also found a way to dress themselves into cute little biologist or NASA workers to set the mood to their presentation.

No doubt this was a combination of effort between students, parents and teachers. Thank you all for being part of this team.

Other News?

Other activities such as English Corner and Discipleship started this month.

We will plan activities for our dormitory students to participate using their English skills during a Wednesday evening every month, this is to help them improve their skill and have fun with it.

Discipleship has started for those interested to keep growing their faith and learn more about our God, we pray that these students are always hungry for the Word and be the light to others.

New Campus Pastor

Lastly, we would like to welcome our new Campus Pastor and his wife. Pastor Ulises and Mrs. Alfa have been in the ministry for several years and have worked with the youth. We pray that God gives them wisdom to guide our students in their spiritual life the best way possible.

We close this month studying for the upcoming exams but looking forward for what is yet to come on October. Help us to pray for the next month to be a month of blessings and good news.
